FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can I book a tour now?

Yes — CyberTours is now booking. Choose your tour, date, and time on our booking page and reserve online in a couple of minutes. Your card is authorized when you book and only charged after your tour is complete.

Where do you pick up from?

Anywhere in Sedona: hotels, rentals, Airbnbs, restaurants. We come to you. Pickup outside Sedona proper is available on private expeditions for an added travel fee.

How many people can come?

Up to 4 passengers per tour. The Cybertruck seats 5 including the driver, and we keep one seat free for your guide.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Sedona has stunning weather year-round, but if conditions turn unsafe we’ll reschedule at no charge. You can also cancel up to 24 hours before your tour for a full refund.

How does payment work?

When you book, we authorize your card for the full tour price through Stripe. That’s an authorization hold, not a charge — we only capture the payment after your tour is complete. We accept all major cards. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your tour, the hold is released in full (see our cancellation policy).

Is the Cybertruck good off-road? What about range anxiety?

Absolutely. The Cybertruck’s adaptive air suspension raises clearance by several inches on demand, and its tri-motor all-wheel drive handles Sedona’s rugged red-dirt roads without breaking a sweat. We drive Schnebly Hill, Devil’s Bridge, and other unpaved routes regularly.

Range is a non-issue on our tours. We start every tour fully charged — and none of our routes push anywhere close to the limits of the Cybertruck’s range. You’ll never hear “we need to charge.”

What happens if a driver isn't available for my ride time?

For CyberRides, we dispatch your request to available drivers in real time. If no driver can make your window, we’ll email you within minutes and offer three options: an adjusted pickup time, a reschedule, or a full refund.

For CyberTours (guided experiences), availability is planned in advance — if a slot is open when you book, it’s yours.

Can I customize the route?

Yes — that’s exactly what the Private Cyber Expedition is for. Tell us before your tour what you’re after: a specific vortex site, a geology deep-dive, a sunrise at Airport Mesa, a proposal spot. We scout the route in advance and build it around you.

Classic and Extended tours follow a curated route optimized for light and timing, with flexibility at each stop.

What should I wear and bring?

Sedona’s elevation (4,500 ft) means the sun hits hard even when it feels mild. Bring: sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a water bottle. We provide bottled water on every tour.

Layers are smart — mornings and evenings in the canyon can be 15–20°F cooler than midday. Comfortable walking shoes for any optional viewpoint hikes. Your phone for photos, or just let the views do the work — we take shots at every stop.

Do you do photography stops?

Every tour is built around photography stops. We know exactly where the light lands at what time of day, and we schedule departures accordingly. Your guide takes shots at every overlook so you’re actually in the photos — not just behind the camera.

On the Private Expedition, we can go slower at any stop, return to a formation at a different angle, or time the route around golden hour or blue hour specifically.

Is this accessible for guests with mobility needs?

The Cybertruck itself is accessible — wide doors, low step-in height, and plenty of legroom. We accommodate most mobility needs as long as you can transfer into a standard vehicle seat.

All three tours have optional walking components that can be skipped — you can stay in the truck and still get the viewpoint experience from the road. The Private Expedition can be fully designed around your needs if you let us know in advance.

For guests using wheelchairs or with specific mobility requirements, please contact us before booking so we can confirm the right fit.

Can I book a private tour for a proposal or special occasion?

Absolutely — this is one of our favorite things to do. The Private Cyber Expedition is perfect for proposals, anniversaries, birthdays, and milestone moments. Sedona has no shortage of stunning backdrops.

Tell us the occasion when you book and we’ll plan the stop sequence, timing, and photo angles around your moment. We’ve scouted every viewpoint in the canyon — we know exactly where the light will be and where to stand.

Is this good for kids?

Kids love the Cybertruck — full stop. The Classic and Extended tours are great for families; all viewpoints are accessible from the road or a short walk.

Minimum age depends on the tour: most of our Sedona tours require children to be at least 2 years old, and a few of the more rugged routes require them to be at least 5. Every child needs to be accompanied by an adult.

Car seats: we provide car seats for children ages 2 to 4 — just tell us the ages of any kids when you book and we’ll take care of the rest. Bring snacks and a spare layer too; canyon temperatures drop quickly in the shade.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 24 hours before your tour and you’ll receive a full refund, no questions asked.

Cancellations within 24 hours of your tour are non-refundable, but we’re happy to reschedule for another date at no charge if you contact us before your pickup time.

If we ever need to cancel on our end — weather, vehicle issue, driver unavailability — you’ll receive a full refund immediately plus first access to rebook at our next available slot.

Do you partner with local hotels?

We pick up from any hotel, rental, or Airbnb in Sedona — that’s built into every tour. If you’re staying outside central Sedona, pickup is available on Private Expeditions for a small travel fee.

We’re building a formal partner program with Sedona hotels for embedded booking. If you manage a property and want to offer CyberTours to your guests, reach out to hello@cybertours.net.
